Reagan Hunink

Reagan Hunink is a student pilot from central Florida. She is currently training in both glider and powered aircraft.
Reagan holds the rank of Cadet Second Lieutenant in Civil Air Patrol at the Lakeland Composite Squadron, and volunteers as a docent at the Florida Air Museum on the Sun N Fun campus at the Lakeland International Airport. She is an intern at a maintenance hangar and flight school out of the Zephyr-hills airport which is also where she is currently receiving flight training.
In addition to her passion for aviation, Reagan has studied violin for over ten years. She has had the honor of winning first place at the Sacred Music Festival in her division and played with the Florida Southern College Orchestra. When she is not at the airport, she can be found playing in her church's praise team, where she volunteers weekly.
It is Reagan's goal to complete her powered solo on her 16th birthday and continue on to receive her Private Pilot Certificate. Ultimately, her goal is to fly for NOAA with the Hurricane Hunters and serve in missionary aviation as a volunteer pilot in domestic human trafficking rescues.
Reagan would like to give back to aviation by being a mentor to other aspiring pilots. She knows without the support of her mentors' guidance she would not be able to pursue her aviation dreams. As a high school freshman she knows she has a long way to go but will continue to pursue all she is called to achieve as a pilot.
